Tylenol Killer

The FBI is looking for the people who created the Tylenol poisonings that killed seven people. This was in the City of Chicago. This crime happened in 1982, but the FBI has come back to look at the unsolved murder of seven people. The killer had the Tylenol laced with cyanide, that is what caused the death. It was a huge scare to many across the country.

I think it's good that the BI are looking for the murderers. No charges have ever been made for these crimes, and now finally justice is being made. They still haven't found the people yet, but they are close and they will soon. I think that the FBI will make sure they bring these people to justice. I think that this will make people feel a bit better, but I also think that a lot of people have already forgot about this. I think that it is a good thing to do and the FBI is doing the right thing.

Murder charges, or Suicide?

A man was charged with murder charges earlier this month, but now his defense lawyer is making people think other wise. The lawyer looked over the story and he saw that it didn't make sense, that is when he thought it was the boy committing suicide instead of being shot. The lawyer has a good witness on his side to back his story. He is making a good case for the boy committing suicide.

I think that this could be completely true, or it could be wrong and make the case look worse. I think that the lawyer did a lot of research on the topic, and has a very good case to make. The jury decides today whether they think he's right or not. I think that if he presents the story right he will be able to convince the judge and the jury. I'm not sure if he's right or not because I don't know the full story. I just know one side. All I know is that this statement could easily be true, but so could the other situation.

Osama's death

Earlier this week Osama was killed by American secret soldiers. Not a lot of information was released on who exactly killed him, or how it was done. We know that it was on of the Navy seals who shot Osama. It is said that it was a gun fight that ended in Osama being shot in the eye. They say that he shot at the Navy Seals first, and then the American soldiers shot at him. At the age of 54 Osama was finally killed after a longer search and battle to get him.

I think that people know that Americans wanted to kill them, and I don't blame them. After the chaos of 911, the Americans wanted revenge. I understand his death, but what I don't understand is why they threw his body in to the ocean. I think this is going to create a lot of controversy from citizens of Pakistan, and also people in America who won't believe the death and think they were faking it. I think this is a very controversial subject and a lot of people will have questions with no answers.

Two students stabbed at school

This morning at 8:45 am two boys from a Scarborough high school were stabbed. The to boys were 14 and 16. The school didn't go into lock down due to the fact that the police were able to ind the criminal as soon as the stabbing was done. The police have one lone suspect who they think is the stabber right now, maybe others will come up later. The two boys are in the hospital with none life threatening injuries.

I think this is terrible. there were two boys stabbed today, and one Wednesday. I find it crazy that there are this many stabbings happening in school. I'm glad that these 2 boys weren't seriously injured, but if these keep happening than some one will be seriously injured and some might even die. This needs to be stopped before something worse happens.

Durham Home hit by a Stray Bullet

As a man was relaxing in his home last night his home was hit by another stray bullet coming from Lake Scugog. Lake Scugog is right next to the mans home, and it is a very popular spot for sport shooting, and target shooting. Sometimes bullets miss the target, and that's when injury can happen. This bullet was the 5th to hit this man's house, and he can't be alone. The man says, that target practice is the reason people in the subdivision can't get to sleep at night.

I can't believe this could have happened. I would understand if this was the only time it happened, but this was the 5th time that this mans house had been hit. I find it crazy how this could have happened, and I don't think it could be legal. This is what police are trying to figure out too. Hunting is allowed, but authorizes aren't sure if target practice is legal. I don't think that it should be legal because if houses are getting hit up to 5 times, then you don't know what will happen next it might be worse and they might hit a person.

Back to Back Crimes

Residents woke up to the sounds of police sirens at 4 A.M. today. The man was stab in the early hours of the morning. He was found by the police and the ambulance took him bask to the hospital. The man was in his mid 40s. Just after the man was taken away by an ambulance there was another stabbing. The man was next to a church with on the ground with stab wounds.

I think this is crazy to happen. In the same spot within an hour of each other. Right now the two people are in hospital with serious injuries, but they should be able to survive. I think this is just crazy I don't know why anyone would stab someone else, and I wonder if it was the same stabber twice. I hope they find this guy and get him in jail. I just think this must have been a terrible way to wake up, especially if you have to wake up like that more than once.

Apartment Cleaning

When you leave your apartment there is a law that states that you have to make it clean and "move-in condition". This is what came up today. Someone is being fined for not having the apartment clean enough.
She took pictures before and after of the apartment, and thought it was clean enough, there was no damage, but the owner of the apartment thought it wasn't good enough. He fined her $1,500 and she didn't pay it fr 30 days. They went to court for it and payed $400 for the court session.

I think this was a waste of time. They both had to spend $400 to settle an argument of $1,500. The woman ended up winning the argument, but she still had  to spend $400. I agree that the owner of the apartment should be able to charge people who leave the apartment a mess, I think that the person should fix up any damages, but if you are spending $400 over a $1,500 argument, then it's not worth it. I think that people should just clean up there stuff so this doesn't have to happen.

Ignatieff's Promises

Ignatieff, the leader of the Liberal party, has been making different promises about what he is going to do once he gets in power. His biggest promise is that he is giving out a billion dollars for students going into college or university. This would allow students to get  $1000 per year for their university. Lower income families could get up to $1500 for every year of university or college.

I like this idea by the liberals. I think that it is a good way for students to have a bit of help in college, and allow them to get a further education. This will also look good for the Liberals. It will allow more students to go to college, so it can make it seem that when the liberals were in power, more students were getting post secondary education. I wonder how they are going pay for all of this, but if it comes out of tax payers money I still think it will be worth it for the students. I think that this is a good promise by the liberals, and I hope that they will keep this promise.

Fire Truck hits car

Police are still trying to figure out why a woman in her car was hit by a fire truck. It was due to the stop lights not working right. Usually they turn green for the oncoming fire truck, but this time the lights didn't switch on time and a 42 year old woman was hit and killed. Police are still trying to figure out who's fault it was, but they can't figure out until they know what colour the light was. Once they know that they have to judge if there was enough time for either person to stop on time.

I think this is just at fault of both the drivers relying too much on the stop light and not relying on what they can see and their own driving skills. I think that timing the stop lights can really help in case of an emergency, but it can't make all the decisions for you. The drivers of the fire trucks still need to look out for different cars, and the drivers of the other cars need to know when a fire truck is coming. I think that this is nobody's fault it is just a case of two people relying on something that isn't 100% effective. The stop lights aren't the answer to people's driving they need to look out for themselves.

Star athlete dies after hitting game winning shot
A high school boy from Michigan died after hitting a game winning shot to end a 20-0 season. The team had just completed a perfect season when they saw their start player collapse. Ambulance came in and brought a defibrillator. They couldn't save him on the spot so they took him back to the hospital. This still couldn't help him because when he got to the hospital. They doctors just couldn't get the boys heart to beat. The boy died later that day.
Teammates hoist Wes Leonard up after he hit the game-winning basket Thursday night as the Fennville Blackhawks celebrate their victory against the Bridgman Bees, bringing their record to 20-0. Leonard collapsed on the court shortly afterward and died hours later at Holland Hospital.
This is a mystery to everyone, even the doctors couldn't find anything wrong with the boy. There is nothing that could have caused the death, he just collapsed. This is a shock to everyone. The student was  a great athlete in basketball in football. He led both of the teams to a championship and had an all state honorable mention. You never hear of this happening a lot to anyone his age, especially all state athletes. There was nothing that the doctors could find that could be wrong with him, but he still collapsed and died. This rarely happens and that probably won't change, but its just so surprising that it could happen.

Man Robs Store with a sword
The clerk in the store is usually prepared for a lot, but he would have never thought he would have been in danger by someone with a sword. They say the  men came in carrying a gun and a sword. They told the clerk to give them money and his laptop, then get to the ground. No one was hurt, and now they are trying to find the men who came in and robbed the store. They have suspects, but the police are still looking for them.

I was shocked when i heard this story. There's two things that really make me question this story. The first thing is where would you get a sword to rob the store. I don't know if you can find them in other countries, but I've never heard of people selling sharp swords to use a weapons. The other thing I question is why would you use the sword when you have a gun. I guess if you didn't want to hurt anyone then it wouldn't mater, but I don't understand why you would use a gun. Overall I think this was just a crazy situation, and another stupid reason to get caught for a crime.

Pirates Hijacking again?

Pirates along the Indian ocean have captured a 5 people from Denmark who were on a sailboat. The 5 of them were a family sailing across the ocean when they were stopped by a pirate ship in the ocean. The pirates hijacked their ship. Usually the pirates won't take children, but this time they have. They just have the children as hostages to try to get money from the family or country. The country is going to try to save them after seeing their distress signals. This is the second hijack in the past week. Last Monday they hijacked a Greek cargo ship with 23 crew members on board.

Every time I hear about this it just sounds like its a make belief story that your being told when your a kid. I can't imagine pirates starting to steal things again but they are. These attacks started 6 years ago, and we still aren't able to stop them. I think it maybe because we're still surprised about what's happening. Even though it has happened multiple times people must still think that there is no way that they could get hijacked by pirates. These attacks will get worse if we don't do something and someone's going to have to stop it, but it just so awkward to be having problems with pirates again.
