Can't dodge a bullet, Or a Car

Yesterday night at 8 P.M. a man was seen running into traffic as he was running away from the police after they had seen him in an apartment building and was hit by a car. Once he was hit the person who hit him got out of their car looked and say that the man also had a bullet wound in his chest. He was taken to hospital and it appears that he is going to recover. The police are investigating what happened and they might be charing the man. Two other people from the apartment were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

This man is extremely lucky to be alive. After being shot in the chest you think that you would be dead, and definitely if you were hit by a car too, but this man somehow managed to survive. It really shocks me how he got that lucky an inch to the left or right from the bullet, or if he was hit by the car in a different way he could have died. It just goes to show you that running away from the police never helps. Most of the time it leads to you getting injured (usually not by getting hit by a car) or you just get caught and then you have more than one crime that you are going to be charged for.

It's more than just Pizza

At a corner pizza shop in Toronto police just found out that they have been selling more than just pizza. The pizza shop Pizza GiGi has been caught by police to be selling Marijuana, Cocaine, and OxyContin. He had over 1 million dollars worth of Marijuana and half an ounce of cocaine. The pizza shop has been open for over 30 years and people hadn't noticed anything. It had been voted one of the top 5 pizza places in Toronto by NOW Magazine, and blogs would say it's the best pizza they've ever had. People who lived around the store realized that it never got a lot of business for pizza and wondered how it was still in business.
Pizza Gigi on Harbord street the scene of a major drug bust earlier this week.
This is just a terrible idea to begin with. If you've been nominated for top 5 pizza places in Toronto and people are saying that they love your pizza, then why would you sell drugs out of your store, and run the risk of getting shut down and ruining your pizza store. I wonder how long they have been selling drugs from that store. The store has been open for 30 years but it was just caught now. It could have just been a couple years, but maybe it was for all of the 30 years. This just seems crazy to me, and you have to think what did they use in the pizza to make it taste so good?

50 million mystery solved

Finally OLG figured out who the winner of their 50 million prize on the 31 of December last year. Two groups from bell Canada have decided to split it among them. They are going to have to split the money 30 ways equally. 19 of the 30 split 32 million today, and 11 split the left over 18 million later. The manager of the first group of 19 won the lottery with one ticket that he bought in Scarborough.

This lottery has been a mess ever since they declared a winner on 31 of December. The winner didn't declare himself until Jan 3rd on one of the OLG's biggest lottery prizes. It wasn't until over a month later that they were finally able to figure out how the money will be split and how the winner will get paid. Even though this was a mess of a lottery I'm glad they split the money fairly. I'm glad the winner just didn't try to take the money and leave everyone else without any. This makes you feel a lot better about the whole situation because everyone was able to get an equal amount of the prize not just one person.

Bank employee steals money
A bank employee is being accused of stealing $206,000 from 31 seniors. It was involved with 43 different CIBC accounts that had money taken out of them unauthorized. Investigators say that the money was taken in a crafty way. They took the money in small amounts, so id wouldn't get detected as easy. The money was taken from income funds and saving plans. They age group that the criminal was taking from was between 60 and 85.

I think this is terrible. First it is wrong to steal money, but i think it is even worse to take it from seniors that are using it for retirement, or using it for other life funds. It also shows you that you always need to check your bills, especially for things like credit cards and bank accounts because you never know when someones going to get a hold of you pin number and steal money. It happens a lot with credit cards, but not always with bank accounts. It's surprising how someone who works for the bank didn't et caught earlier, for stealing money from customers. I think that people just need to pay attention to others, so people don't lose money.

Police threaten to use taser
Two Toronto police officers threatened two handcuffed men with a taser back in June and have just been proved guilty now. The Officer had the taser on one of the handcuffed men's neck. He had both of the handcuffed men in the back of the police cruiser and he threated to tase both of them. He didn't have a good reason to do this so he was proved guilty after the in-car video saw the men threatening to taser both of the men that were sitting in the back of the cruiser. Neither of the men were tasered in the end.

This is just another case of police officers abusing their power and thinking they can get away with it. It doesn't happen very often because most of the police force are good and wouldn't abuse their power. It's only sometimes that you get police officers that aren't good and they will do something thinking they can get away with it. There is a need for the taser when people aren't listening to what the police officer is saying, and could do something to harm others, but if officers are using it to scare people then it shouldn't be used.

Nose end after the storm
Drivers in New Hampshire were driving during a storm, when all of a sudden someone spun out of control. The car landed in the ditch and the front end of it got caught in a snowbank. Once the front end was caught the momentum from the car made it move forward. The car came to a stop after it was wedged in the ditch balancing on the front bumper with the rest of the car in the air.It took place along Interstate 93, right after a snowstorm hit southern Ontario and Midwest U.S.

The woman was lucky that she wasn't badly injured. I have never seen a car do anything even close to this. This was one of the craziest crashes I have ever seen. It's a mystery on how she was even able to get out of the car when it was up like that. It is also a mystery on how the car could stay like that, she must have had to crash and land the front bumper in the perfect spot for that to ever happen. It also leaves the question was it because of careless driving, or the bad weather. I think it would have to be because of both. If you know the conditions are bad then maybe you shouldn't be driving, because you never know when you could get stuck in a ditch, just maybe in a different way.

Canadian woman attacked by shark in mexico
A Canadian woman who was taking a vacation in Cancun, Mexico was swimming on the beach when something unbelievable happened. The woman went swimming after spending time on the beach and was bit by a shark. She was taken to the hospital, but survived and is okay now, another woman who got bit had much more severe damage. She lost her arm and leg after the shark bit her twice. The shark was going in to shore to give birth, and when it saw the people getting to close it attacked. People who saw the shark say it appeared to be 6 feet long and 3 feet wide. Mexico is not common for shark attacks, but this shark did attack.

I think this is a rare freak accident. Cancun almost never has shark attacks, and it is rarely a 6 foot long shark. Most sharks wouldn't come past the coral reefs that surround the beaches. So it would be even harder for a big shark to get through. People are trying to figure out how a shark could have gotten to the beach and why it would ever want too. I still don't understand why the shark would go to Cancun, I can't imagine this happening again, but it just proves that you have to be careful because your not always sure what's going to happen.
